The Molex sales team is seeking a talented and motivated Sales Engineer to manage the Bajio territory. The main objective is to increase Molex's revenue by generating demand and effectively maintaining existing business. This position will serve as the primary interface with purchasing and engineering/development resources within the customer portfolio.
Your Job
Molex is a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems. Our broad product offering covers various industries such as data communications, medical, industrial, automotive, and consumer electronics. This person will be responsible for informing customers about the value Molex brings to the market and how it differentiates itself. Ideally, Molex is looking for a candidate with interest and passion for technology, eager to learn about new products and applications to optimize engineering designs in the territory. The position will be based in Querétaro and will require travel outside the state and limited international travel. Accounts in the industrial sector and other trending markets will be served.
What You'll Do
- Understand customer applications, analyze their needs, and offer solutions using the entire Molex product portfolio.
- Maintain and expand professional business relationships within assigned accounts.
- Develop a solid and steady flow of demand creation activities to drive measurable, goal-oriented territory growth.
- Maintain account profiles, contact lists, and mapping potential opportunities.
- Willingness to work in the Bajio region (70%) and abroad (10-20%).
Who You Are (Basic Requirements)
- Industrial, electronic, or related engineering degree.
- Advanced conversational English, both spoken and written.
- Self-motivation and ability to prioritize workload with minimal direct supervision.
- Effectively establish strategic relationships with customers and distributors across a wide range of roles to maximize Molex's ability to capture customers.
- Understand customer needs and effectively sell solutions to both the customer and the business unit.
- Build relationships and contacts through strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in outside sales, field application engineering, or product/project management.
- Effective communication both remotely and in person.

- Experience in the electronics industry and/or manufacturing sector.
- Experience collaborating with distribution partners.
