About the Opportunity
Fonterra is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Director - Ingredients to lead our ingredients sales business across Latin America and the Caribbean. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving growth, revenue, and profitability through a customer-led, market-focused approach. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape and execute a robust sales strategy, while fostering a high-performance culture within your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with marketing to design and deliver a smart sales strategy that reflects customer insights and market dynamics.
- Develop account plans to defend and grow Fonterra’s market position.
- Lead the reset of our Distributor/Reseller strategy and enable execution across the network.
- Strengthen relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Drive innovation and new business growth initiatives, with a focus on prioritisation and value creation.
- Represent Fonterra in the regional dairy industry, maintaining commercial integrity and confidentiality.
- Champion collaboration across the Americas region and global sales community to share best practices.
- Build a culture of accountability through clear KPIs and performance expectations. Support team development with a solution-selling mindset and proactive learning.
About you
You’ll hold a tertiary degree and bring at least five years of experience in sales, ideally within a complex, international environment. Your strong business acumen and strategic agility will be matched by your ability to build and maintain effective internal and external networks. You’ll be a confident communicator and negotiator, with a growth mindset and a drive for results. Creative problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to doing things the right way are essential to your success in this role.
