Job Description
This role is responsible for evaluating WIRE products at all stages — raw materials (MP), work in progress (WIP), and finished products (PT) — to ensure they meet customer specifications prior to release. It also involves identifying, segregating, and rejecting materials that do not comply with quality requirements. The position includes the evaluation of physicochemical properties in raw materials, as well as electrical, dimensional, and visual inspections for WIP and finished products.

Functions and responsibilities
- Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and/or physicochemical characteristics of raw materials for polymers, conductors, and wires, as applicable, in accordance with internal specifications.
- Inspect and release conforming products at each stage of the cable manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Reject and quarantine non-conforming products in accordance with specifications and the corresponding stage of the process.
- Follow up on non-conformities (when applicable) using the 8D methodology to prevent recurrence.
- Verify measurement equipment (as applicable) and/or monitor external calibrations through suppliers to ensure compliance with the calibration program.
- Issue product quality certificates of compliance for finished goods (PT) to demonstrate conformity with customer requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of standard work methods (MET) and operating instructions within the WIRE quality laboratory.
- Generate evaluation reports for products and/or materials as requested by any department, following work order control procedures.
- Operate and configure laboratory equipment to perform physicochemical, electrical, dimensional, and visual evaluations of products at all stages of the manufacturing process.
- Audit process control parameters for key products such as Ecoseal and coordinate release setup with process engineers.
- Generate process audit reports related to Ecoseal tuning.
- Record quality certificates in the QAD system, ensuring they are attached to customer service shipping documents as mandatory documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment, maintaining 5S standards.
- Participate in the analysis of corrective actions for non-conformities at all stages of the process.
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives for the operation and control of the WIRE quality laboratory.
- Notify the release of finished products (PT) via email to Logistics and Customer Service for immediate disposition.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the laboratory and the finished product evaluation area.
- Comply with WIRE quality management system policies and procedures.
- Follow WIRE quality, safety, and environmental policies.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
Knowledge of equipment calibration and Quality Management Systems, with an understanding of ISO 9001:2015 interpretation.
Minimum 3 years of experience in companies within the metal-mechanical, electrical, or telecommunications sectors. (Not required for recent engineering graduates.)
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Proficiency in the use of electrical and dimensional measuring equipment.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
