Summary
The International Specialist coordinates daily domestic and international logistics operations for TOC Logistics International clients and global agents. This role ensures timely and accurate handling of shipments, consistent communication with stakeholders, and continuous process improvement to support operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist and monitor logistics operations for domestic, ocean, and air cargo shipments.
Independently manage all aspects of domestic import/export by air or ocean, including customs clearance.
Track shipments and ensure compliance with shipping instructions.
Communicate consistently with all parties involved via phone and email, providing detailed status updates and exception reporting.
Support the training and development of team members as needed.
Utilize and support Transportation Management Systems (TMS) functionality and training.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance individual, team, and company performance.
Provide accurate and detailed billing support to Accounts Receivable.
Maintain high expectations for vendor performance and service levels.
Ensure meticulous record-keeping and milestone tracking throughout each shipment lifecycle.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably with a background in logistics, forwarding, or international shipping.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, business correspondence, and internal/external communications.
