SketchUp Plugin Developer - Furniture Catalog & FBX Export

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on developer to design, build, and maintain a custom SketchUp Pro plugin that streamlines our interior design workflow.

The plugin will:

• Pull a live catalog from our REST endpoints.
• Allow designers to filter options by colour, finish, availability, price, etc.
• Let designers drop simplified proxy models into their layouts, with correct dependencies and spacing, ensuring the final spec matches real-world products.
• Operate seamlessly within SketchUp’s native undo/redo stack.

When it’s time to hand off work downstream, the plugin will:

• Export the selected furniture objects (model slices, transforms, materials, and more) as single or multiple FBX files.
• Include camera data tied to SketchUp Scenes.
• If FBX can’t store every detail, create a small sidecar JSON to keep the exported scene fully in sync with our project database.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has shipped multiple real SketchUp extensions.
• Knows FBX inside and out.
• Can deliver clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Is proactive in solving problems and suggesting improvements.
