Job Description
Possesses a substantial understanding of the position, working on moderately difficult assignments that require judgment to solve problems or make recommendations. The focus is on moderately complex tasks, utilizing a solid understanding of standard operating procedures. Supports the team as a whole.
What will you be doing?
- Supports security installations/uninstallations.
Participates in supporting senior team members with the development and distribution of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors for moderately scaled security infrastructure projects requiring multiple bidders.
- Coordinates auxiliary team and machinery, troubleshooting minor issues and performing repairs to avoid or minimize downtime; supports problem resolution and maintenance of office security equipment.
- Responds moderately difficult on-site security incidents and events, including moderate security breaches, issues, and delays.
- Assists in report writing and root cause analysis related to moderately difficult security incidents.
- Has a substantial understanding of the security incident decision matrix and appropriately reports security incident statements to the Equinix Operations Center (EOC); works with stakeholders for potential to the Internal Incident Report (IIR)/Post-Incident Report (PIR).
- Supports moderate local security issues, to and resolving problems and/or condition reports for ACS (Access Control System) and VMS (Video Management Systems) under policies and procedures.
- Supports preventive maintenance of security infrastructure, following standard operating procedures to ensure timely and accurate security updates.
- Participate in moderate customer-oriented support requests, including negotiated audits, custom security orders, and cage construction initiation
- Coordinates asset inventory for security IP address management, including tracking and distributing IP addresses for security equipment.
- Supports moderate security vendor work associated with customer-oriented security constructions and internal security infrastructure requests.
- Coordinates with the site management team to interact with external auditors and comply with internal and external audit requirements
- Has a substantial understanding of security processes and procedures and quality control initiatives to ensure compliance.
- Analyzes and maintains security drawings and site-specific supporting documentation.
- Provides assistance to security stakeholders during moderately difficult maintenance activities.
- Communicates with stakeholders to properly coordinate security installations impacting facility infrastructures.
- Collaborates with security teams to implement and validate system updates and provide recommendations.
- Supports cross-functional teams in new constructions and expansions.
What do you need?
Generally, requires a high school diploma and 2 to 4 years of equivalent work experience.- B2 level of English.
- Knowledge of the AMAG system is a plus.
