In the role of customs analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the business with all customs operations, Import and export of raw materials/equipment as well as export of finished products, maintain communication with our customs agents, and comply with import and export schedules in a timely manner, in conjunction with our logistics and transportation departments.
Contribute innovative ideas for process improvement, provide guidance and ensure that everything is done in accordance with the Mexican rules and regulations and identify financial impacts and cost avoidance possibilities.
Responsibilities and duties
- Exports Raw Material / Vehicles / Non-Stock.
- Imports Raw Material / Non-Stock / Fixed Assets/ Regime change.
- Import. – Non-Stock, Machinery and Equipment
- Exports / Returns of Non-Stock, Machinery and Equipment
- Support business on all types of customs transactions, including but not limited to :
- Virtual Raw Material / Vehicles.
- Disposal.
- Regime Change.
- Fiscal Destructions.
- Sub- Maquila.
- Rule 8 Inventory and application.
- Review, authorize payment of pedimentos with MX Broker and internal Customs system.
- Process optimization within the team and work partners.
- Identify risks & provide solutions.
- Maintain archive of official customs documents.
- Mexican Customs Regulations and Standards.
- Mexican Customs Operations.
- Regional Business Support.
- Bachelors Degree in International Trade, Customs, Logistics Engineering or related Topic.
- Knowledge of Customs Laws & Regulations.
- Capability to work in a high pressure environment.
- High capacity to follow up tasks.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel (complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc.)
- Team Player with a "can do and will do" attitude.
- SAP Knowledge.
- Languages: Spanish & English (70%)
- The position will be based in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (Plant 1)
