We're looking for your talent! We are seeking an expert and proactive individual to join our team for the position of Customs Procedures Specialist. You will be the cornerstone that ensures our clients' foreign trade transactions are carried out with maximum efficiency, legality, and security.
Your main mission will be to represent importers and exporters, expertly managing the entire customs clearance process to ensure a smooth flow of trade, optimizing costs, and providing legal certainty for each shipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and capture import and export customs declarations, ensuring their correct preparation and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the main point of contact and coordination between customs brokers, carriers, terminals, and clients.
- Ensure strict compliance with the Customs Law, its regulations, regimes, and international trade agreements.
- Perform the correct tariff classification of goods and the accurate calculation of taxes and contributions.
- Continuously monitor documentation and the status of merchandise, from origin to final destination (advance notices, customs clock).
- Manage key industry systems such as VUCEM and SAAI to streamline processes.
- Attend and manage audits and reviews by the customs authority.
Candidate Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, Customs Law, or a related field (intern or graduate).
- Essential Experience:
- At least 2 years of verifiable experience as a Customs Processor, preferably in international logistics companies.
- Solid experience preparing import and export customs declarations.
- Demonstrable track record in coordinating with customs brokers, carriers, and terminals.
- Key Technical Knowledge:
- Mastery of Customs Law, tariff regimes, regulations, and non-tariff restrictions.
- Advanced handling of customs systems (VUCEM, SAAI).
- Knowledge of international shipping documentation (BL, Carta Porte, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Calculation of taxes and foreign trade contributions.

Additional Requirements:
- Conversational English (intermediate-advanced).
- Availability of time to cover the workday.
- Valid driver's license.
- Own vehicle (desirable).
