Seeking Experienced SAP Payroll Team Lead for Exciting Projects in Mexico City
We are looking for a Payroll Team Lead to join a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you’ll take full ownership of payroll operations while guiding and empowering a high-performing team. This is a critical role for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement in payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of payroll representatives, assigning responsibilities and ensuring quality and timely execution of all processes.
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for payroll operations, problem resolution, and process optimization.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across departments.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance payroll procedures and efficiency.
- Ensure seamless communication and knowledge-sharing within the team and broader organization.
Technical Skills Required:
With over 10 years of experience as a Payroll Lead , you must be proficient in the following technical skills:
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
Daily Salary Integration (SDI) calculations and reporting
Extraordinary payroll runs
Severance and termination settlements
Tax, exemptions, and contribution calculations (IMSS, ISR, State Tax)
Benefits-related calculations (savings funds, food vouchers)
INFONAVIT and FONACOT contributions and loan management
Child support calculations
SUA file generation
Payroll provision calculations and finance integration
Annual tax adjustments and retroactive payments
Bank transfers and payroll receipts generation
Accounting policy generation and CFDI payroll stamping
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing payroll teams and operations in Mexico
Strong technical expertise in payroll compliance, taxation, and benefits
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
A continuous improvement mindset and ability to implement efficient payroll strategies
Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, HR, and external agencies
Location & Schedule:
- Hubrid work from Mexico City
- Work hours Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
- Advanced English skills are mandatory
