Join Our Team as an Ocean Specialist II

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join CEVA A&O Mexico as an Ocean Specialist II within our Ocean Operations division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our comprehensive ocean freight services, playing a crucial part in ensuring the efficient movement of cargo across international waters.
About the Role

As an Ocean Specialist II, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of ocean freight operations. This includes overseeing shipments, liaising with carriers, and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, providing exceptional service to our clients and helping to streamline operational processes.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate ocean freight shipments from inception to delivery, ensuring timely updates and accurate information flow.

Communicate effectively with carriers and stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

Monitor shipment status and prepare necessary documentation to comply with regulatory requirements.

Assist in the development of strategic relationships with shipping lines and service providers.

Analyse shipping trends and provide insights to improve service offerings and operational efficiency.

Work closely with the sales team to support customer enquiries and provide tailored solutions.

Play an integral role in ensuring quality control and risk management throughout the shipping process.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in ocean freight operations and demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Further, candidates should be able to showcase the following qualifications:

A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is advantageous.

Prior experience in ocean freight operations or logistics coordination.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.

Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools used in logistics management.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Contract Location

This role is based in Alcaldía Benito Juárez, Mexico, allowing for a culture-rich experience while working within a supportive and engaging workplace.
