The Manager, Inventory & Replenishment is responsible for the health management of all inventory in North America, including Mexico, USA and Canada. This includes but not limited to all domestic chocolate finished goods, slow moving, close to expiring, import chocolate and raw materials for all NA locations. This person will ensure reports are distributed and corrective action plans can be executed, as well as setting the proper inventory strategies to meet the business goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage Inventory settings - supply and demand viabilities, financial targets, production run rules, stock snap shot, shelf life definitions and policies
  • Define product segments and service strategies – Along with demand planning setting strategies based of margin, velocity and nature of products
  • Identify feasible deployment – Production run rules, MTO and MTS strategies for each stock categories.
  • Analyze options and select optimal strategies – Asses financial impact, optimize working capital and service
  • Set Inventory targets based on select strategies – review supply and demand trends, calculate safety stock, define stock targets, assist with pre build inventory settings, define use of inventory policies with tactical planning, define peak and off peak policies.
  • Finalize inventory polices – With finance team agree with projected inventory, advise with inventory policies the impact on warehouses, work with commercial the impacts of the selected strategies, determine and finalize a change to inventory policies.
  • Monitor inventory performance – Review, manage, and determine the performance with reports and actions to control cost for E2E with Finished goods and Raw Materials.
  • Develop a process to manage slow moving and restricted inventory with Sales / Plants / Supply Chain / Pricing / Finance departments.
  • Create Reporting to Analyze and help sell Slow Moving, including Root Cause, Analysis by Volume, Analysis by Value and as needed: BU, Brand, MoM changes: Improve where used, available to sell from slow moving
  • Manage KPIs, and report on these weekly and monthly as required. KPIs include, but not limited to, overall inventory volume/value, Days of Supply for Focus Groups, Imports, Cocoa, PDI, Group Stock Report, inventory health, Plant and Non BC Warehouse analysis
  • Prepare presentations, reports as needed for Management review and decision making to avoid SLOB.
  • Manage along with R&D the SKU rationalization process for the network.
About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations/Management, Engineering, Finance or similar
  • 6-8 years of experience in a Supply Chain/Operations function in a manufacturing environment
  • Conversational English level (B2+)
  • APICS Certified preferred
  • Availability for traveling 3-4 times per year
  • SAP and BW experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
