Job Description
Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational availability and reliability of electronic and electromechanical equipment, including systems with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components used in the manufacturing of single-conductor and multi-conductor cables. This includes performing corrective and preventive maintenance activities according to established maintenance plans.
The role emphasizes strict compliance with safety protocols for both personnel and customers while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Additional responsibilities include:
Performing scheduled corrective and preventive maintenance on electromechanical systems.
Following and promoting industrial safety procedures within the plant.
Participating in 8D problem-solving exercises (Eight Disciplines) to identify process deviations.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for equipment and manufacturing processes.

Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance Responsibilities:
Maintain documentation control of special products and related technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electromechanical components of production equipment.
Adhere to EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) safety plans and all relevant plant safety protocols.
Perform technical calculations required for equipment modifications to ensure optimal performance.
Identify and list materials needed for equipment modification or installation, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronic, and hydraulic components.
Design, Programming, and Integration:
Design and create electrical, pneumatic, and control diagrams for new installations or equipment modifications.
Program and configure automation systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIS (Hazardous Material Identification Systems), drives, and safety systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues involving multiple protocols and brands.
Mechanical and Structural Fabrication:
Select and calculate suitable materials for structural components of equipment.
Perform metalworking tasks, including marking, cutting, and welding using oxy-acetylene and electric arc tools.
Install and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
Operational Support and Troubleshooting:
Calculate electrical loads to select appropriate protections and wiring gauges for each system.
Anticipate and mitigate potential safety risks to improve equipment safety for operators.
Diagnose and resolve failures in all systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, machining, and control) during operation.
Make sound decisions to safely start equipment even when the correct spare part is temporarily unavailable.
Provide technical support during rotating shifts to ensure continuous production.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
Apply knowledge of control systems, including tension/torque, speed, temperature, and pressure control (open- and closed-loop systems).
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment performance and operator safety.
Ensure full compliance with quality management system policies and procedures.
Adhere to all company safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, Electronics, Automation, or Control.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance roles within production plants.
Knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Preferred Requirements
Advanced degree in Engineering.
English proficiency.
