TITLE: Maintenance Superintendent
EXPERIENCE: More than 5 Years within Industrial Maintenance Processes
SCOLARSHIP: Bachelor level of education on maintenance, electronic or affined
The maintenance supervisor oversees a business’ maintenance tasks, including the upkeep of offices, buildings, grounds and company vehicles. Their duties include scheduling maintenance tasks, supervising Maintenance Workers and responding to maintenance emergencies.
- Be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility, machinery, equipment and property structures or to aid current production processes, in addition to performing grounds maintenance
- Help in the department’s objectives and budgets, as well in the strategies and plans to achieve those objectives
- Develops preventive maintenance and create maintenance schedules, delegate to team members, performs regular preventive maintenance on equipment and ensure the successful execution of production activities.
- Diagnose manufacturing equipment problems and taking necessary actions to rectify them.
- Can supervise the maintenance of continuous services such as electricity, water, gas, Air conditioning units, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring factory workers and other users of tools used in manufacturing adhere to manufacturers’ guidelines on equipment. Such adherence is necessary to enable the tools to function to their maximum capacity.
- Scheduling contractors for major repairs as required and coordinating the work performed by the outside vendor
- Discussing maintenance concerns with the employer and communicating these to Maintenance Workers
- Responsible for selecting, Training, developing, motivating the Department’s Staff, acting as a facilitator performance, and maintaining interdepartmental harmony.
- Maximize efficiency of the Maintenance Staff.
- Controlling and monitoring inventory and analyzes the department’s operation and recommends changes to management.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Ability to manage a varied workload
- Continually supervise maintenance and grounds personnel
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Manage preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Document routine checks and repairs needed, maintains logs of any downtime within the manufacturing system.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Required Qualifications:
- Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
- Strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Good time management to work at a good pace, executing word orders and demands
- Knowledge of safety precaution
- Good human relations to relate cordially with team members and workers
- Must be a “hands-on” maintenance person
- Excellent verbal communication, Problem-solving skills and time management
- Experience in electric, hydraulic and pneumatics installations
