Position: LATAM - Brand Manager
Department: Marketing
Work Location: Mexico City, MX, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. What you will be doing:
Brand Manager manages assigned product categories and reports to the General Manager LATAM. The Brand Manager plans, develops and implements unique and efficient marketing strategies & initiatives for the assigned categories and brands to achieve the brand/category financial targets. He/she is responsible for the category P&L, annual and 3Y plan business planning. This person develops assigned NPDs in line with agreed 3YP roadmap and defines product positioning, go to market approach and launch plans.
Develop and execute regional marketing strategies based on consumer insights, channel dynamics, and portfolio needs; align with Global Category Organization and advocate for LATAM market.
Lead new product development: build 3-year pipeline, define positioning, packaging, pricing, launch plans, and manage cross-functional execution with R&D, Sales, and Regulatory.
Oversee life-cycle of existing products: SKU profitability, line optimization, phase-outs, and cost/quality improvements.
Drive advertising and promotional activities with agencies to deliver integrated communications and consistent brand messaging.
Manage marketing budget, product launch plans, and day-to-day agency relationships; ensure ROI across all initiatives.
Conduct market analysis using POS, Nielsen, NPD and store checks; track market share, trends, and competitive insights to guide decision-making.
Partner with Sales to support retailer strategy, pricing, presentations, and account needs.
Lead Trade Marketing initiatives, including POS displays, trade shows, and vendor partnerships.
Build marketing and business plans, set clear objectives, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
Oversee brand/category P&L, ensure accurate forecasting, and collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate product and claims documentation.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Solid commercial and business acumen
Project management skills
Excellent financial knowledge (Budget, P&L, Profitability)
Cross functional knowledge
Strong MS office knowledge (ppt and xls especially)
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree (Marketing, Economics, Business or equivalent)
3+ year experience in marketing / business management within an international environment
Bilingual Spanish/English (proven advanced English) oral and written
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
