Job description Legal Assistant:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our Accounting team. This unique role bridges the gap between legal and financial operations, focusing on tasks that require both legal acumen and an understanding of accounting processes. The Legal Assistant will be instrumental in managing legal documentation related to financial transactions, assisting with compliance matters, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of both departments.
Responsabilities:
- Contract and Document Management:
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents pertinent to financial matters.
Maintain and update a comprehensive database of all legal contracts and agreements, ensuring easy retrieval and version control.
Track key dates and deadlines related to financial contracts
- Compliance and Regulatory Support:
Assist with the preparation and submission of legal and regulatory filings relevant to the accounting function.
Research and monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations impacting financial operations, such as tax laws, corporate governance, and financial reporting standards.
Help ensure the accounting department's adherence to internal policies and external legal requirements.
- Litigation Support (Financial Aspects):
Assist in gathering and organizing financial documentation required for litigation or dispute resolution.
Coordinate with external legal counsel on accounting-related legal matters.
Prepare summaries or analyses of financial data for legal review.
- Legal Invoicing and Expense Management:
Process and track invoices from external legal counsel, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing guidelines.
Assist with the reconciliation of legal expenses within the accounting system.
Prepare reports on legal spend.
- Administrative and General Support:
Provide administrative support to both the accounting and legal teams as needed, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing presentations.
Organize and maintain confidential files, both physical and electronic.
Facilitate communication between the accounting and legal departments.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficiency of the accounting and legal functions.
Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Salary: Hasta 17,000 mxn brutos mensuales + prestaciones de ley + otros beneficios
