TEST ENGINEER
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY
Responsible for the development, installation and operation of the equipment test and maintenance equipment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine costs and machinery budget.
Determine the resources needed to do the work.
Determine schedules for different projects in the plant.
Lead, coach, and motivate others involved in the role.
Responsible for the design and manufacture of the test equipment used in the plant.
Oversee third-party vendors while consistently working on projects in the development of test equipment.
Validate test equipment before installing it in the production area.
Assists maintenance to keep test equipment running on the production line.
Document all test equipment that is designed and train the personnel required to operate, maintain, and repair the equipment.
Supervise and verify the correct maintenance and operation of tools and testing machines.
Development of new programs and tests for ICT machines, development of functional tests for new products.
Quote and acquire new equipment for new projects.
Participate in and comply with the requirements of the IATF 16949 Quality Management System and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 environmental management system corresponding to the position. Prepare evidence of compliance and support audits.
Responsible for understanding and complying with the specific requirements set by customers with the Zero Defects in Sight.
Authority. Stop/cancel any procedure that does not comply with the requirements established by the organization and/or the quality management system or the environmental/safety management systems already mentioned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, mechatronics, robotics or related.
3 years of relevant work experience in an electronics production environment.
knowledge of ICT
knowledge of functional test equipment (EOL).
knowledge of integrated circuit programming systems (Data IO/Dediprog).
High knowledge of Visual Basic and LabView (Advanced Architectures/Core 3 or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of data acquisition cards.
Knowledge of Artificial Vision systems.
GPIB, RS232, CAN, LIN, and J1708 communication protocols.
English Intermediate
Knowledge in MSA and SPC Studies.
Knowledge in Digital and Analog Data Acquisition.
Knowledge of pneumatics.
Knowledge to analyze failures in electronic circuits based on schematic diagrams, operating theory, product specifications, and component specifications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the application of FMEA and in conducting capability studies in relation to test systems and processes.
Experience in programming EOL and ICT systems.
Experience in debugging and troubleshooting using different electronic measurement and test equipment.
Experience in documenting failure analysis reports and determining root causes.
Knowledge of Windows, Access, Excel, Word, Power Point and Minitab.
Automotive Experience
Experience in personnel management.
Knowledge of electronic switch hardware.
IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
