This position is expected to develop the market in which they operate with the promotion and efficient management of the client portfolio under their responsibility, as well as prospecting for new clients; execution of the strategic and tactical business plan, achieving overall sales goals; and strong customer relationships. An active role in the introduction and adoption of new products and technologies in the market, with the development of specialized clinical support, training for distributors and their sales team, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, market and competitor mapping. They will be responsible for identifying and promoting training events, engaging with key stakeholders and decision makers in the client network, and mobilizing resources to anticipate and respond to customer clinical needs, issues and opportunities, as well as implementing and executing strategies and initiatives. The Senior Sales Rep will work closely with their Sales Supervisor and the distributors´ sales teams, sharing account information and supporting the technical development of customers and team stakeholders in their territory, as well as acting to ensure the implementation of strategies defined by the marketing team and leadership team. They will also participate in new product and technology launch initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish, maintain, and develop the commercial relationship with our business partners and customers in accordance with the sales plan and assigned territory.
- Maintain and develop an adequate promotion and demonstration of J&J Surgical Vision's target products in terms of sales.
- Knowledge and mastery from a clinical and technical perspective of the product portfolio to sustain meaningful business conversations and interactions with different areas and related people.
- Build strong relationships with business partners and end customers, especially with decision makers and influencers.
- Skills and knowledge in developing product presentations, technologies, promoting Surgical Vision products, procedures and technologies.
- Comply with established KPIs, to achieve sustainable growth and development for business objectives
- Collaborative work; close collaboration with the rest of the sales team and support areas such as demand planning and marketing to increase market penetration of target products.
- Skills in consultative selling techniques to identify, maintain and develop new and increased business.
- Maximize customer service capability through efficient planning and scheduling techniques, driving collaboration, maintaining open lines of communication with all other team members, internal and external.
- Prioritize and respond appropriately to requests in a highly stressful environment, maintaining composure and focus while resolving difficult situations.
- Consistently comply with J&J's code of conduct and immediately report any non-compliance through the Healthcare Compliance team.
- Identify client requests and needs to address any issues that arise from the day to day operation.
- Manage customer expectations, always striving to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Establish and share best practices with sales colleagues, consultants/technicians and internal partners to develop mutually beneficial relationships with customers, including physicians, nurses, technicians, as well as hospital administrators and staff.
- Drive and coordinate tasks with functional and support areas in accordance with the Business Conduct Policy, Healthcare Compliance and other J&J policies and procedures.
- Perform other assigned duties when needed.
- Travel 50% of the time to attend and develop the sales territory under their scope.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Details of required and desirable qualifications:
- University level (Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biomedicine, Marketing or similar)
- Intermediate level English
- Strong knowledge and experience in consultative sales
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the area of Medical Devices and/or Ophthalmology.
- Experience in the use of CRM is desirable.
- Oral and written communication skills that enable effective communication with business and opinion leaders.
- High service level and support, problem solving skills and results oriented combined with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to analyze, self-manage and develop commercial solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for daily business use.
- Proactively assuming responsibilities and reporting results and metrics.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to generate credibility and professional respect with business partners.
- Courses or training in sales and business management skills.
- High ethical standards, adaptable, curious, self-starter.
