QA Software Engineer
Working at Delinea means being a part of a highly capable, collaborative, and agile development team. Delinea is creating awesome software that's used by thousands of IT professionals all over the globe. This is a QA Software Engineer position on our Governance team. This team develops both front-end and back-end services that provide Access Control and Governance capabilities.
This is a hybrid position working 2 – 3 days per week in office and the remainder can be
remote/telecommute based out of your home office. Reports to Manager, Software Quality.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute test plans for new features, bug fixes, and platform enhancements.
Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright, when necessary.
Perform manual testing, including exploratory, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.
Identify, document, and track software defects in a clear and concise manner.
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the platform can handle expected user traffic.
Participate in code reviews to help maintain high code quality standards.
Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into the development workflow.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and tools.
Work with technical writers and developers to complete product documentation tasks when necessary.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud-based applications.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium or Playwright).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
Solid understanding of API testing using tools like Postman.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and teamwork abilities.
Proficient with issue tracking tools, such as Jira or Azure DevOps
Familiarity with web-based security principles and best practices.
Bonus if You Have:
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C#).
Familiarity with SAML, OKTA, EntraID, Powershell, Linux/Unix , SQL.
Experience with performance testing (e.g., K6, Jmeter, Apache).
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
Experience with DevOps practices (e.g. continuous integration, continuous deployment).
