The Opportunity
The Project Manager will facilitate the analysis, design, and implementation of action plans required to integrate new business opportunities and acquisitions. Responsible for project team facilitation and for the completion of projects on time and within budget.
How you will impact WestRock:
- Facilitates management-identified project teams/meetings.
- Updates and tracks FY projects established by management.
- Communicates global specification changes to all facilities.
- Assists with the design of new carton and label structures.
- Facilities new project estimates.
- Works directly with Packaging Solutions Engineers to develop tooling needed for projects and launches.
- Completes Project Management process analysis and improvement.
- Assists in securing new business by working with management and the potential customer/acquisition partner/new equipment supplier in executing required activities within the contract.
- Updates internal customers on new project/sample development.
- Occasional travel to customer/acquisition partner locations to support intercompany relations and execute various required activities.
- Works at customer site as needed.
- Create and present project presentations to management as required
What you need to succeed:
- University degree in Business Related field or equivalent level of experience
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ related Project Management experience.
- Above average proficiency in English (speaking, writing and reading)
- Ability to professionally respond to customer inquiries, complaints, regulatory agencies and members of the business community.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Ability to present information to top management and public groups.
- Must have good mathematical skills.
- Must be competent in Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and other Microsoft products.
- Able to travel up to 10%.
