Position Summary
This job description outlines the role of a Production Test Technician 3, a regular-level position with responsibilities within a production environment. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual with strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities. The Production Test Technician 3 plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products by leading testing operations and driving continuous improvement within the production process.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar role (Production Test Technician or related field).
Skills:
- Measurement Devices Management: Expertise in handling and maintaining various measurement devices.
- Working Under Pressure: Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and demanding environments.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to guide and mentor junior technicians.
- Teamwork: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct in-depth testing and troubleshooting of complex circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Test Procedure Development:
- Develop and refine advanced test specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Potentially lead the development of new test methodologies.
- Rework & Repair: Perform complex rework and repair procedures on assemblies or systems.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, analyze test data, and identify areas for improvement.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior technicians, providing training and support.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
