What You'll Do?
As a Production Group Leader, you will lead and support a team of hourly employees to meet production goals while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will play a key role in developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and supporting manufacturing launches and pilot activities. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Effectively manage personnel, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Train, develop, and evaluate hourly team members to ensure optimal performance and growth.
Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and support launch and pilot activities.
Promote and enforce safe work practices, ergonomics, health, and housekeeping standards.
Administer and uphold the National and Local Agreements with the United Auto Workers Union.
Identify and resolve quality issues, leveraging resources and standardized methods.
Ensure team members receive adequate Job Instruction Training (JIT).
Apply lean manufacturing and synchronous principles to reduce variation, control costs, and improve productivity.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management.
Coach, mentor, and support Group Leaders in their responsibilities and development.

Shift Schedule: 4x3 (100% on-site work)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and all Engineering related or related experience.
2 years of experience
Intermediate English
Available to change shifts (4x3)
Knowledge of Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in unionized environments
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
