Join our global mission as a Procurement Coordinator at Corbion, a crucial member of our LATAM Procurement Team. Reporting directly to the LATAM Procurement Manager, we're seeking a highly organized professional experienced in food procurement. In this role, you will source for particular assigned categories of raw materials and be responsible for exploration, development, and execution of category strategies, engaging with our supplier base and internal cross-functional teams. You will be accountable for cost savings ideation and delivering against individual, department, and company annual targets while proactively updating management and solving issues and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Understand local market dynamics within assigned product categories, ensuring effective cost management and sourcing strategies.
- Develop and execute advanced procurement strategies tailored to local market needs, emphasizing product quality, availability, and sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners globally to drive product innovation and differentiation within the LATAM region.
- Act as a local focal point for Corbion's global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Initiatives.
- Maintain contracts and commitments, managing financial exposure and risk efficiently while ensuring product quality and reliability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across product supply chains while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Oversee annual budget and monthly updates for assigned product categories, aligning with overall business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in economics, food industry, engineer, business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in food procurement/supply chain with a focus on product-related strategies.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product-related procurement projects from ideation sourcing to delivery.
- Understanding of local market dynamics and trends within assigned product categories.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining product quality standards.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Spanish is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills for executing procurement strategies and building strong internal and external partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a cross-functional matrix environment, collaborating effectively with various teams.
- Knowledge of contract management and resolution procedures related to product procurement.
- Proficiency in Source to Pay tools, SAP and Microsoft applications.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
