TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
- Develop and Manage Digital Plans: Create detailed digital plans and schedules that empower UNIT team members and regional seed production/testing teams to meet pipeline targets and cycle times for each crop phase they manage. Identify and implement opportunities for improving pipeline health and operational efficiencies.
- Supply Chain Analysis: Develop alternative solutions to address supply shortfalls impacting internal and external customer requirements. Ensure root cause identification, corrective action determination, and implementation are part of the process.
- Independent Problem Solving: Tackle complex planning challenges independently, utilizing financial, operational, and business judgment, while adapting to ambiguous conditions.
- Data Management: Responsible for maintaining planning parameters and master data within crop science analytical tools and software systems.
- Initiative Leadership: Lead initiatives focused on digital transformation, including the launch of tools like Velocity or Experiment Assistant.
- Strategic Consultation: Provide insights and recommendations on strategic shifts to enhance project outcomes.
- Control Tower Representation: Act as a representative in the Control Tower, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate crop cycle updates and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- LRP Alignment: Ensure that the Long-Range Plan (LRP) is connected with the overall strategy for the crop being represented.
- Process Improvement Focus: Dedicate 20% of your time to process improvements that embrace digital initiatives.
- Define and Monitor Metrics: Establish key operational metrics to track progress and ensure that these metrics are met through various planning and operational measures.
WHO YOU ARE
- Education: BA/BS required in Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Business, Information Technology, or a related field with a strong focus on data analytics.
3+ years of professional experience in supply chain, logistics, or related fields, with a background in Crop Science preferred. - Intermediate English Level.
- Data and Analytics Skills: Proficient in data visualization and reporting using tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, and Excel.
- Experience in developing analytical models to support supply chain decision-making is a plus.
- Self-Motivated: Results-oriented with a strong process improvement mindset, capable of working independently to drive data-driven initiatives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent influencing skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Agility: High adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision- making abilities grounded in data analysis and interpretation.
- Key Competencies: Demonstrated customer focus, collaboration, negotiation skills, people agility, and conflict management capabilities.
- Skills related to Strategic Business Planning, LRP, Supply Chain and Logistics, Data Analytics and Project Management in a Crop Science Domain.
