About the role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our unionized workforce in Monterrey. Your work will directly impact employee satisfaction and operational efficiency, contributing to a positive workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing payroll for unionized personnel
- Capturing and calculating employee sick leave and disability (incapacidades)
- Receiving and processing weekly payroll incidents
- Reconciling and validating overtime
- Processing weekly payroll runs
- Handling employee terminations
- Performing general ledger (GL) reconciliations
- Managing saving fund reconciliations
Requirements

As a minimum, you must have:
- Experience in payroll processing, preferably with unionized employees
- Knowledge of Mexican labor laws and payroll regulations
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Experience with UTEC-MX or similar payroll platforms
- Prior experience in a multinational company
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
