Position Overview
Ensure the supply of materials, raw materials, packaging material, equipment and tools based on consumption specifications, quality, quantity and time required for their supply. Provide support to production to confirm material arrival dates. Work in conjunction with the Engineering and Quality team to seek substitute and/or replacement materials to mitigate delays in delivery of materials, raw material, packaging material, equipment and tooling required.
What you'll do
- Responsible for negotiating prices, volumes, delivery times, packaging and payment terms.
- Follow up on the entire purchasing process from receipt of purchase requisition, supplier search, price negotiation, delivery times, supplier development, comparison charts, ERP/MRP administration, update of material arrival dates in the system.
- Control and follow-up of suppliers. Updating of systems (GP, ePIC, qDOC), files (Planning Detail, Tiger Team, Open POs, Open Invoices, Oversold tracking, Stockout report, Power BI, etc.).
- Reporting, monitoring of orders that are filled on schedule with suppliers.
- Verify the update of the supplier catalog.
- Tracking of RTV and credit notes.
- Support to Supplier Quality team for follow-up and closure of NCR (non-conformities).
- Generation and release of purchase orders to suppliers.
- Administration, control and update of MRP/ERP system.
Who you are
- Degree in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain, administration, foreign trade or related field.
- 3 years in similar position.
- Experience in purchasing plastic components, aluminum extrusion, hardware, stamped metal parts, packaging material, fabrics.
- Negotiation experience.
- Experience in MRP/ERP management.
- Customer service oriented.
