How You'll Help Us Connect the World
The Buyer is responsible for the strategic procurement of products, materials, and services essential to the company's operations. This role involves working closely with suppliers, as well as collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure procurement meets technical, budget, and time requirements. The Senior Buyer is also actively involved in parts demand planning to ensure that operational needs are met in an efficient and timely manner, avoiding interruptions in production. The Senior Buyer leads continuous improvement initiatives in the purchasing processes, aligning with the company's financial and operational objectives. In addition, it will be a leader in supplier management and ensure supply chain optimization.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Purchasing Management: Responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies to ensure timely procurement of key materials and services.
- Cost Reduction and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising the quality of the products or services purchased. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
- Inventory Control and Resource Optimization: Work closely with the production planning and logistics team to ensure inventory is maintained at optimal levels, avoiding shortages or excesses.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all purchases comply with the company's internal policies, as well as with applicable local and international regulations.
- Demand Planning: Collaborate with the operation planning teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and ensure that the necessary parts are procured in a timely manner.
- Ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to cover the needs of the operation without generating excesses.
- Analysis and Reporting: Provide detailed analysis for senior management decision-making, identifying risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
- Supplier Relations: Maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration that supports the company's business objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication to resolve issues of quality, delivery, or any other incident. Leadership and Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other departments, such as finance, operations, quality, and engineering, to align purchasing strategies with the company's overall goals. Lead and coach other buyers and procurement staff in procurement best practices.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- 2 years of validated experience in purchasing area.
- Experience with overseas suppliers
- Proficient in English Language (written and spoken).

- APICS training (not essential providing other ERP experience)
