Provide technical support and system configuration for advanced medical device solutions, ensuring seamless integration, troubleshooting, and optimal performance in Production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and customize the new MES platform to replicate existing business logic, minimizing hard-coded solutions by leveraging modern configuration tools and low-code/no-code frameworks.
- Assist with the migration and modernization of legacy MES processes, translating Java/Rockwell-based code into scalable, cloud-native configurations while reducing technical debt.
- Partner with stakeholders (IT, operations, QA) to analyze legacy system processes, gather requirements, and translate them into optimized configurations for the new platform.
- Design and document integration workflows between MES and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Databricks, S3) using configuration-driven tools instead of custom code.
- Support testing and validation of migrated logic and configurations, ensuring alignment with quality standards and operational requirements during the transition phase.
- Help drive standardization of MES configurations across global production sites, ensuring consistency, scalability, and ease of future updates.
- Provide transitional support for the legacy system, addressing user issues, documenting processes, and refining configurations based on feedback.
- Evaluate engineer specifications, elaborate a testing plan and prepare a test case plan to verify the correct operation of the MES system.
- Has close communication with system users to understand their needs and be able to propose solutions to ensure the system's reliability.
- Supports automation processes to perform data verification tests to ensure reliability in manufacturing processes.
- Works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify probable risks in system operation.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 3–5+ years of experience configuring, customizing, or modernizing MES platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, PTC), with a focus on reducing technical debt and enabling scalability. Experience with other MES platforms is also welcome
- Experience integrating MES with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, PLM tools like Arena, data lakes like Databricks/S3) using configuration tools, APIs, or middleware
- Analytical mindset to dissect legacy processes, document requirements, and design future-state configurations that align with business needs
- Ability to bridge technical and operational teams, translating stakeholder needs into actionable configurations while managing transitional support for legacy systems
- Degree in Engineering or a related area
- 3+ years of experience in the field and/or related field
- Knowledge of CNC, JDE, SAP, or PeopleSoft
Advantages:

- Experience with Linux servers, including basic system administration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of JBOSS application server architecture and deployment
- Basic Java experience, particularly in debugging or supporting Java-based applications
