THE ROLE
The Logistics Sr Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics network within Mexico. This includes transportation, warehousing, distribution, customs compliance and last-mile delivery for all product categories. The role will drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and sustainability while ensuring a seamless customer experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Logistics Operations:
- Oversee daily operations across distribution and transport networks.
- Drive performance through KPIs, reporting, and financial targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement digital solutions.
- Transportation Management:
- Develop and manage LTL/FTL transportation strategies.
- Monitor transportation KPIs and resolve customs or delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
- Cost & Budget Oversight:
- Partner with finance on budgeting and cost-saving initiatives.
- Track key cost drivers and implement cost-to-serve programs.
- Improve freight audit and payment processes.
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Participate in carrier bids and supplier performance reviews.
- Support e-commerce and network design projects.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning, sustainability, and service quality.
- Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing logistics team.
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management (Transportation, Logistics)
- Strong Leadership, ownership and project management skills (planning, organizing and resource allocation)
- Team player, focused on total company delivery also thrives in a challenging and complex environment
- Strong analytical skills - detail driven, able to analyze and manipulate large volumes of data
- Fluent in English and Spanish required
Essential:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and communicate to higher level management
- Ability to identify systemic gaps and drive sustainable results
- Knowledge of FTL, LTL, Parcel, ocean, and air networks
- Strong cross functional skills and ability to work collaboratively with customer service, DC’s, supply planning, and external carrier networks
- Demonstrated record of prioritizing, influencing and decision making at multiple levels in an organization
