POSITION SUMMARY
Lead and support day to day receiving, stockroom and inventory control functions for the Vertiv manufacturing, distribution or warehouse operation. Interface between numerous departments to track inventory, Kanban’s, pick product, put away ensure highly accurate inventory levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set performance goals for the Inventory Control department and establish actions plans to meet.
- Establish metrics and reports to measure and control department performance.
- Quarterly review and update of critical MRP parameters: MIN/MAX, Safety Stocks, FDS and Reorder point.
- Monthly Inventory forecast review and submission
- Effectively Manage Excess and Obsolete Inventory, focus on strategies to improve visibility and reduce risk.
- Responsible for accuracy of the inventory: standard cost and UOM set up.
- Maintain stock and ensure inventory control systems are up to date ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate Kan-bans and Suppliers Stocking programs and set ups as required.
- Warehouse and Inventory control/ analysis.
- Conduct performance reviews for team members
- Generates regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for decision-making.
- Oversee inspection and MRB inventory level and actions plan to minimize risk
- Material In-transit Control and Forecast analysis.
- Troubleshoot issues directly with carriers on deliveries.
- Retains all required documentation through Record Retention process. Troubleshoot any issues.
- Lead lean, cost savings and continuous improvement projects related to the control, space optimization, materials handling and storage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, business administration or related field.
- Bilingual.
- Experience in an industrial, high mix job shop environment .
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in distribution in a global manufacturing environment.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems or other manufacturing/purchasing systems and Windows-based PC programs.
- Knowledgeable of inventory control systems and process as well as material storage, racking and forklifts.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Logistics Management, Purchasing/Operations Management, or Business a plus
• APICS or CPM certification
• Experience on Inventory Management Software’s.
