Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Hotel General Manager (GM) to lead daily operations, cultivate a high-performance culture, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. As the face of the property and a key representative our hotel, the GM is accountable for all aspects of hotel operations including revenue generation, guest satisfaction, team development, brand compliance, and cost control. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations of all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage (if applicable), and Sales.
- Ensure brand standards and PME Hospitality policies are consistently upheld.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs and capital improvements.
- Monitor property cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
Guest Experience:
- Champion a service-first culture that drives high guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest concerns, reviews, and feedback.
- Conduct daily property walkthroughs and hold regular team huddles.
- Monitor guest service metrics (e.g., GSS, SALT, Medallia, TripAdvisor) and implement improvement plans.
Financial Performance:
- Maximize RevPAR, GOP, and NOI through strategic pricing, cost control, and occupancy management.
- Approve payroll, vendor invoices, and manage purchasing within approved budget.
- Conduct daily labor and expense reviews to ensure operational efficiency.
Sales & Marketing:
- Collaborate with VP of Sales to drive business through local sales efforts, digital marketing, and relationship building.
- Maintain visibility in the community through networking, chamber events, and local partnerships.
- Support execution of brand promotions and PME sales initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and front-line staff.
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture that reflects PME’s core values.
- Conduct performance evaluations, enforce accountability, and lead corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety standards, and company HR practices.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all brand and local/state/federal regulatory standards are met (ADA, OSHA, food safety, fire codes, etc.).
- Maintain hotel security, safety logs, and emergency procedures.
- Oversee property risk assessments, loss prevention strategies, and incident response.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality/ restaurant Management, or tourism.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel General Manager experience, preferably in a branded select-service or full-service hotel.
- Proven track record in operations, team leadership, financial results, and guest satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, revenue management tools, Microsoft Office).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
