Your Team Responsibilities
MSCI, Inc. seeks a Sr. Associate, Equity Investing Research in Monterey or Mexico City to perform financial research to provide investment insights to institutional clients on topics related to asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management. The goal and responsibility of the individual will be to use financial research tools such as the MSCI Data Science Platform or other analytical tools, indexes and risk models to perform financial analysis to support the broader MSCI research agenda, build research narrative, and support senior research members in the team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Use MSCI Data Science Platform and other analytical tools, equity indexes and risk models to conduct financial equity analysis.
- Contribute to publishing research content that advances the MSCI research agenda and build research narrative that can provide insights to institutional clients.
- Deliver research on topics ranging from asset allocation, portfolio construction, benchmarking, factors, ESG & Climate, and thematic investing
- Participate in client discussions and help provide investment insights
- Support senior research members in the Equity Investing research team
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- Bachelor / graduate degree in Science, Actuary, Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or other highly quantitative degree. CFA is a plus.
- 3+ -5 years of relevant experience in quantitative investment research or as a data scientist / data engineer
- Strong quantitative and technical background
- Excellent programming skills, experience in the Python ecosystem. Experience in library development and API design is a plus
- Basic understanding of the institutional investment process, portfolio construction, risk management, portfolio exposure analysis etc. is a must
- Good interpersonal, English communication and presentation skills
