About the Job:
Our client, a fast-scaling e-commerce company partnering with leading social media influencers, is seeking a Market Research Manager to lead product discovery and validation for Amazon-based consumer brands. You will be the first hire in a new influencer brand division—responsible for identifying profitable, evergreen product opportunities and ensuring that launches are backed by data-driven insights.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of results, and applies rigorous analytical methods to uncover winning products. You’ll collaborate directly with a Los Angeles–based account manager, delivering insights that drive strategic product launches and long-term growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Identify and validate 3–5 new evergreen product opportunities per month using Amazon and market research tools.
- Conduct deep keyword analysis and trend forecasting to ensure products align with high-volume search terms.
- Benchmark competitors on Amazon, highlighting gaps and white-space opportunities in parental and lifestyle niches.
- Prepare clear, data-driven reports and dashboards that communicate findings with precision and confidence.
- Collaborate weekly with the Omni-Channel Account Manager in Los Angeles to align research with influencer strategy.
- Establish repeatable systems and SOPs for research that can scale to future influencer-led brand launches.
- Monitor consumer trends beyond Amazon to anticipate product opportunities before competitors.
- Validate compliance with Amazon TOS and identify potential IP or trademark conflicts before handoff.
- Ensure product recommendations are grounded in objective research, not just influencer demand signals.
- Deliver actionable insights quickly and consistently, balancing speed with data accuracy.
Must-Haves for the Role:
- 3–5 years of proven experience in Amazon market research, with measurable results in identifying profitable products.
- Proficiency with Jungle Scout (or equivalent tools like Helium 10, AMZScout) for product and keyword validation.
- Strong understanding of the Amazon product lifecycle from concept validation to performance tracking.
- Advanced ability to analyze consumer trends and high-traffic keyword data to forecast product success.
- C1 English fluency in both written and spoken communication, with the ability to present insights clearly.
- Experience working independently in a remote, results-driven environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all reporting.
- Prior experience in parenting, lifestyle, or consumer product niches.
- Exposure to influencer-driven brand partnerships or social media–led e-commerce strategies.
- Familiarity with multiple research tools (Helium 10, Brand Analytics, Google Trends, social listening).
- Ability to create visual dashboards and executive-ready presentations (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Spanish language skills or regional knowledge of LATAM markets.
