Molex is seeking a dedicated and experienced Customer Quality Engineer to represent Molex at our plants nationwide, ensuring that our quality standards are met and exceeded.
Our Team
You will be part of a team committed to quality excellence, collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service departments to ensure our products and processes meet the expectations of the automotive and electromechanical markets.
What You Will Do
- Support customers and representatives during quality system or process audits, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon standards.
- Define how the Molex Quality Management System (QMS) integrates with customer quality plans.
- Provide internal documentation and data as evidence of compliance.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer-specific requirements, product specifications, and applications.
- Communicate processes according to recognized automotive industry standards.
- Describe internal business processes including product release, process control/testing, non-conforming material management, document/data management, and change review.
- Perform data analysis and deliver monthly or quarterly reports.
- Lead problem-solving activities (8D) internally or on-site at the customer for performance issues or product failures.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve complex problems.
- Lead audit teams to ensure proper implementation, training, and go-live actions meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, generating clear evidence of compliance through documentation.
- Conduct regular quality review meetings with customers to assess quality planning, product reliability, case closure times, and overall product experience, with emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Work with plant and corporate warranty teams to manage returned parts and warranty claim data.
- Manage resulting actions to timely closure and statistically validate the effectiveness of countermeasures.
- Monitor customer scorecards and systems to ensure compliance and timely completion of activities.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Previous experience as a Customer Quality Engineer in the automotive or electromechanical technology industry.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Red X).
- Advanced skills in Excel (charts, VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and PowerPoint presentation development.
- Highly responsible individual, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in electronics or vehicle antenna technology.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Knowledge of ISO/TS16949, VDA, or equivalent automotive quality standards.
- Experience in maintaining or implementing a Quality Management System.
- Practical experience with core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and control plan development.
- Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
