ISP Chemestry and Physics Teacher Key Responsibilities


• • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry and Physics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.

  • Develop lesson plans, laboratory activities, and assessments that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry.
  • Conduct practical laboratory sessions ensuring safety protocols and proper use of materials and equipment.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ academic progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
  • Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Encourage curiosity, experimentation, and a positive attitude toward scientific exploration.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and support school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations in all activities
  • Comply with safeguarding guidelines.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and Physics.
  • Effective classroom management and student engagement strategies.
  • Ability to design and deliver both theoretical and practical lessons.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Adaptability to diverse learning styles and educational needs.
  • Collaboration and teamwork with faculty and staff.
  • Competence in using educational technology and digital tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification or license (depending on school or regional requirements).
  • Proficiency in English (advanced level, if applicable for bilingual/trilingual schools).
  • Knowledge of current curriculum standards and assessment methods.
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection.

Experience

  • Proven teaching experience in Chemistry and/or Physics at secondary or high school level.
  • Experience conducting laboratory sessions with emphasis on safety and inquiry-based learning.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing and preparation of students for external examinations.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and differentiated instruction.
  • Participation in school projects, extracurricular activities, or science fairs.
  • Record of contributing to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
