Business Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities
✓ Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and capture new business opportunities
within targeted sectors.
✓ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive long
term business growth.
✓ Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and
potential risks.
✓ Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and commercial agreements,
ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.
✓ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to
deliver customized solutions for complex projects.
✓ Monitor project pipelines, track performance metrics, and ensure alignment with revenue
and profitability goals.
✓ Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking
opportunities to strengthen market presence.
✓ Negotiate and close contracts while maintaining compliance with legal and organizational
standards.
✓ Continuously assess market dynamics and adjust strategies to stay competitive and
innovative.
✓ Responsible for the negotiation of contracts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field) are preferred.
• Proven work experience in one or more of the following companies:

SAPCO, KEPLER, ASELEC, COCONAL, GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Cubico, Iberdrola, Cox, Abengoa, TSK, Técnicas Reunidas (TR), Kiewit, Abener, Ortiz, Acciona, SENER Engineering Group, Vestas Wind, Rengen, Arendal, Fortius.

• At least 60% of total work experience must be in power/engineering-focused organizations.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering and construction terminology.
• Experience in the energy, power generation, or large infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Spanish.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and/or engineering-specific software tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract models.
• Experience in Combined Cycle plant, renewable energy or transmission line projects.
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations in energy infrastructure.
