Job Description
Applications management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively.
We are looking for a Documentum Configuration Manager to join our Application Management Support (AMS) team. This Level 2 role is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting the Documentum platform for one of our key enterprise clients. You will work closely with development, operations, and business teams to ensure the platform is stable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Documentum configurations, deployments, and controlled changes across environments.
- Perform system monitoring and investigate issues related to configuration, performance, and user access.
- Support issue resolution and service requests escalated from Level 1.
- Maintain lifecycle configurations: content types, workflows, lifecycles, ACLs, and permissions.
- Apply patches and perform system upgrades in coordination with DevOps and vendor support.
- Monitor and administer Documentum environments (Content Server, D2/Webtop, xPlore, etc.).
- Maintain documentation for configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with QA and release teams to support deployments and functional validation.
- Ensure platform compliance with security and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Documentum platform, including Content Server, Webtop or D2, Composer, and xPlore.
- Strong knowledge of Documentum architecture, object model, and configuration practices
- Experience with content lifecycle management, access control, workflows, and job management
- Working knowledge of Java (for troubleshooting, minor customizations, and integration awareness)
- Familiarity with DFC (Documentum Foundation Classes) and DQL for troubleshooting and querying
- Experience working with application servers (e.g., Tomcat, WebLogic) and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience supporting ticket-based ITSM workflows (ServiceNow, JIRA Service Management, etc.)
- Strong analytical and communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Good understanding of IT operations and Level 2/3 application support models
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial or healthcare) is a plus.
Nice to have:
- Windows or Linux administration.
- Previous experience in analyst positions.
- Some technical skills and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience of working with IT customer service, support operation, and project management.
- Knowledge of SLA structure.
