About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant specialized in tax compliance to join our team. This role will focus on managing short-term rental permits, sales tax exemptions, and ensuring compliance with state sales tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
What You’ll Do
- Determine sales tax exemption qualifications in various locations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork (certificates, renewals, etc.).
- Maintain organized records.
- Ensure accurate handling of exemptions within accounting systems.
- Reconcile sales tax accounts.
- Resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with sales tax audits.
- Set up new jurisdictions in the tax software system.
- Record short-term rental and sales tax transactions.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing.
- Improve tax compliance processes.
What You Need
- Fluent English
- Ability to work in office (Torre Esmeralda 3, Mexico City)
- Accounting or Finance degree required.
- Minimum three years of tax compliance experience
- Knowledge of sales tax exemptions is essential.
- Must be highly organized.
- Proficient with spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Familiarity with tax compliance software is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex tax regulations.
- Capability to work independently and adapt to changes in tax laws.

- Salary $25,000 - $30,000 MXN Gross monthly (Based on Experience)
