The Senior Marketing Analyst will play a crucial role in empowering data-driven decision-making across our marketing organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Analytics; this individual will handle Performance Analysis & Reporting through the management of and dashboard design in Salesforce MCI (Datorama); with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret marketing data to offer actionable insights into marketing performance. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, a proactive problem-solver and has a strong understanding of marketing principles within a technology context. This role is based in Mexico City and will require the ability to travel to the U.S. on a bi-annual basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or related work experience.
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Business Administration/Management, Marketing or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Proficient in Salesforce MCI (Datorama)Collection & Management of data streams into MCI (Datorama):
Gather, clean and validate marketing data from various sources including, web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads), media monitoring platforms (e.g., Brandwatch), social APIs (e.g., X, YouTube, Sprout) and internal databases.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across all reporting by keeping clean, organized data management processes.
Document and maintain processes for data enrichment and a comprehensive data dictionary.
Performance Reporting through Dashboard development in MCI (Datorama):
Develop marketing performance dashboards and reports in Salesforce MCI (Datorama), highlighting key trends, successes and areas for improvement.
Analyze marketing activity performance across different channels (e.g., digital advertising, email, content marketing, social media) to find effective strategies and recommend optimizations.
Insight Generation & Storytelling:
Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover actionable insights into campaign effectiveness and market trends.
Translate complex data findings into clear, concise and compelling narratives and visualizations for various stakeholders, including marketing leadership, sales and product teams.
Proactively find opportunities for marketing optimization and present data-backed recommendations.
Tool & Process Improvement:
Find and recommend improvements to existing marketing analytics tools, processes and methodologies.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in marketing analytics, data science and data visualization.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a marketing analytics, business intelligence or similar analytical role, preferably within a technology company (SaaS, B2B Tech strongly preferred).
Technical Skills:
Experience with Business & Marketing Intelligence (BI) tools: Proficient in Salesforce MCI (Datorama); Experience with Tableau (or Power BI) for dashboard creation and data visualization. Proficiency in SQL: Must be able to write complex queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases. Advanced Excel skills: Including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas and data visualization. Bonus points for: Experience with Python (for data extraction and analysis) or statistical modeling.
Analytical & Problem-solving Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and share information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems, propose solutions and drive results.
Communication & Presentation Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation skills, capable of delivering insights to various levels of the organization.
Marketing Acumen:
- Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, tactics and KPIs.
- Familiarity with the customer journey and marketing funnel within a technology business context.
Personal Attributes:
- Initiative-taking and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Intellectually curious and eager to learn new technologies and approaches.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
