This position is responsible for:
Standard cost development (Model Year) for Assembly Plants (Saltillo Light Duty). Update and determine material costs within the Model Year. Comply with Corporate requirements and internal controls (SOX).
Responsible to ensure Standard cost development by Model Year for Assembly Plants.
Ensure to maintain the control for the Cost of the parts and production process, annual Product Cost study (PCS) for Assembly plants, Inventory units process for purchase and sale reports.
Review and cost parts for Assembly plants as required.
Analyze the cause of manufacturing variances, including material usage, direct labor and overhead spend and volume, and working with colleagues to correct issues as they arise.
Process improvement initiatives: process definition, accounting and reporting metrics, new product releases, inventory controls, BOMs and routings, budgeting and forecasting, cycle count program and metrics.
Prepare and analyze reports of standard/actual costing, budget variances, product profitability, key performance metrics.
Ensures bill of material standard costs are accurate. Provide support of monthly financial processes and reporting.
Comply with internal control procedures already established to ensure integrity and consistency of financial reporting and risk management.
Develop, monitor, and support cost/time reduction initiatives.
Perform assigned month-end closing processes
Support and back up for other cost and inventory activities
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Administration or Related Studies
5 Years in general accounting, experience in Cost & inventory process
Experience in developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances, internal control knowledge required
Conflict solving, leadership, commercial terms and conditions (PO´s), SAP, MS Office/Google Suite, Sarbanes-Oxley, Champs, Inventory and Cost systems.
