About the Role
The Procurement Business Partner Leader for Mexico plays a critical leadership role within the LAC region, acting as both the primary Procurement Voice for the business and the strategic lead for the Logistics category in the LAC market. The incumbent will ensure the successful implementation of Global Procurement Category Sourcing Strategies at the local level—across direct, indirect, and logistics categories—while effectively representing business needs to Global Procurement Category leaders.
- Develop tailored global procurement strategies aligned with industry best practices.
- Lead Logistics Procurement for Mexico and Brazil; responsible for Warehouse & Transportation subcategories.
- Manage supplier relations to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, compliance with governance structures.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration for strategic initiatives; act as main contact resolving supplier issues.
- Design business productivity roadmaps with strategic suppliers to drive efficiency, service savings.
- Ensure alignment of procurement activities with Diageo’s goals on cost cash carbon footprint.
- Strengthen supplier base by identifying onboarding high-performing innovative suppliers.
- Connect regularly with Supply Chain Directors multifunctional leadership market stakeholders align priorities interventions.
- Drive seamless collaboration across functions support transformation end-to-end supply chain through innovative sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in procurement and logistics within multinational, high-volume beverage or FMCG industries.
- Proven success in leading complex, cross-functional procurement strategies and logistics initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of the Latin American beverage market, particularly Mexico and Brazil.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and governance.
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities to manage budgets, mitigate risks, and optimize category performance.
- Fluent in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese (preferred)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Relevant professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are a strong plus.
- Experience with procurement and logistics platforms such as Coupa CSO, SAP, Salesforce, and Llamasoft.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, including sustainability and carbon footprint considerations.
- Ability to lead category implementation plans, particularly in Logistics (Warehousing and Transportation), tailored to local market specifics.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of timely and effective execution.
- Experience driving supplier performance improvements and managing annual operating plans (AOP).
