The logistics and transportation analyst is responsible for providing insights regarding financial analysis of the transportation operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist forecasts for all modes of transportation lanes with the help of various statistical forecasting tools and data promptly.
- Support in monthly logistics financial results and variance analysis vs plan and prior forecasts.
- Ensure reliability, integrity, and accuracy of data.
- Assure the processing of payment for transport and service invoices throughout auditing, validation, authorization, capturing, and manage the exceptions.
- Participate in regular planning reviews and change processes and prepare data in line with changes.
- Identify, establish, and maintain Key Performance Indicators for the Inbound Transportation team.
- Implement transportation projects, up to the final approval from internal partners.
- Support the standardization of our transportation processes by collaborating with each of the departments involved in the inbound supply chain.
- Promote a spirit of continuous improvement to support our Lean Enterprise mission.
- To be a key change agent in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data maintaining analytical tools and models to drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy for our inbound transportation network, across all product lines.
- To be part of a cross-functional team to continuously improve the relationship and communication with the different logistics teams/ key business partners to solve problems in the process of collaboration.
- Logistics Engineering or Transportation degree are desirable
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a transportation environment, with relevant experience in inbound logistics (transportation, materials planning, etc.) and/or finance.
- Solid knowledge of MS Excel (specifically for data processing)
- Spoken and written bilingualism (English and Spanish), moderate level desirable
- Knowledge of Transport and Yard Management Systems (TMS/YMS) and SAP ERP (WM, MM, PP) are considered an asset
- Driven individual, autonomy, structure, and rigor
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong persuasion skills
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
