Position: LATAM - Retail Marketing Specialist

Work Location: Mexico City, MX, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. What you will be doing:
The Retail Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to increase product Sell-in and Sell-out. This Role acts as the bridge between marketing and sales, ensuring brand strategies are effectively translated into trade execution. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of channel dynamics, shopper behavior, and retail environments.
Strategy Development:
Develop and implement trade marketing plans for key accounts aligned with Brand objectives and sales targets.
Create Channel-Specific plans to drive visibility and sales performance across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels.
Create and manage a trade marketing calendar in alignment with brand promotions and product launches.
Retail activation and merchandising:
Design and manage in-store promotional campaigns, merchandising strategies, point-of-sale materials and activation strategies.
Ensure retail partners follow brand guidelines (brand consistency) and optimize product placement and visibility.
Lead execution of product displays, in store sampling, and promotional events.
Channel support and sales collaboration:
Work closely with the sales team to understand channel needs and develop tailored support.
Equip sales teams with trade tools, promotional calendars, and sell-in materials.
Market data Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions and in-store initiatives.
Analyze market and sales data to identify trends, growth opportunities and shopper insights to inform future strategies.
Budget Management:
Manage the trade marketing budget efficiently and ensure cost-effective execution of all programs, for maximum ROI.
Track spending campaigns remain within financial guidelines.
Cross -Functional Collaboration:
Laise with Brand marketing, product, Logistics and supply chain team to ensure seamless execution.
Coordinate with third-party vendors, agencies, and merchandisers to ensure timely delivery and execution.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Knowledge of shopper marketing within the consumer goods sector.
Deep understanding of retail dynamics.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with date tools (Excel, market share data, etc.)
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
High level of organization & detail orientation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or sales.
Experience working with main retailers’ companies in Mexico.
Experience working digital trade tools or retail analytics platforms.
Bilingual – Spanish/English (proven advanced English).
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure in LATQAM Markets/Multinational companies.
