Job Overview
The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assembly manufacturing department. This role ensures that the assembly processes align with safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements, while supporting compliance with company policies and procedures. The position requires strong leadership to guide, motivate, and coach employees, creating a work environment of engaged and self-directed teams.
The Assembly Supervisor plays a critical role in achieving production schedules, maintaining product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. By collaborating across departments, this leader ensures efficient use of resources, adherence to customer requirements, and alignment with company goals. Given the high-impact nature of this role, integrity, credibility, and adaptability are essential for success.
Required Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on Assembly Manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong technical background in assembly processes, equipment, and quality systems.
- Experience in production management, planning, and scheduling.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage costs, budgets, and production efficiency.
- Proficient in English language
- MS Office competent

Functions
- Supervise and coordinate daily assembly operations to meet production goals.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure team members are equipped for success.
- Motivate, coach, and develop employees to create a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Manage and resolve technical and personnel-related conflicts.
- Partner with Quality Control to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Analyze labor, resources, and capital to optimize assembly processes, including evaluating equipment needs and overtime planning.
- Monitor production schedules and resolve issues that may impact delivery timelines.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, cost reduction, waste minimization, and lean practices.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and performance records for reporting.
- Support and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and ensure timely reviews for indirect reports.
- Stay current with new technologies and assembly practices that improve processes and outcomes.
- Enforce workplace rules and standards, including protective equipment and uniform policies.
- Lead safety or quality investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align departmental activities with company strategy.
