EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record in sales field, with at least 3 years of recent and relevant sales experience in Freight Forwarding
- Freight Forwarding experience is mandatory
SKILLS
- Freight Forwarding – Solid and demonstrated working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry.
- Execution Sales Skills – Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow and close business opportunities ensuring the needed support from product and operations.
- Agile Skills - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines
- Computer Skills - Intermediate computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Communication – Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors
- Languages - Speak and write fluent English – additional languages are a bonus, but not a must
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Grow Business: Drive consistent growth in volume, revenue, and margin across the Book of Business (BOB).
- Balance Hunting & Farming: Increase new business acquisition while maintaining existing client relationships.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct local market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
- Client-Centric Operations: Collaborate with Operations and Implementation teams to tailor SOPs to client needs.
- Sales Support: Handle client requests for import/export quotes and negotiations to close deals effectively.
- Network Coordination: Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure top-tier service delivery.
- CRM Management: Maintain pipeline and activity records in CRM to support sales tracking and incentives.
- Stay Informed: Keep up with local regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
