The ADI North America leadership team is seeking a Freight Analyst to join our growing team which addresses key strategic areas of Transportation operations for ADI. You will be responsible for driving data collection, process mapping, and financial data analysis, to help achieve value drivers and improvement initiatives. In this role, you will directly impact the cost control of all transportation related operations within the ADI network.
JOB DUTIES:
- Review and monitor vendor and customer compliance programs
- Utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement with respect to transportation costs, demurrage and other accessorial expenses and carrier performance
- Maintain weekly/monthly carrier scorecard and performance reports
- Oversees the accurate and timely processing, monitoring, and reporting of carrier expense transactions
- Create comprehensive SOPs for transportation processes and maintain a well-organized and easy to navigate knowledge base within SharePoint or shared drives
- Participate in continuous improvements initiatives to develop best practices for freight in, freight out and center to center operations
- Actively engage in identifying cost saving opportunities within transportation operations
- Assist with populating scrap claim data accurately and in a timely manner
- Support manager in preparing and analyzing freight expense reporting
- Follow company policies, procedures, and corresponding work instructions
- Additional tasks or functions as assigned by supervisor and manager
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 2-3 years' experience in transportation or logistics including inbound and outbound Freight operations
- Strong attention to detail, analytic skills and project management skills.
- Effective and collaborative communication and writing skills in English
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Table is a plus) used for tracking and analysis
- Ability to multitask effectively
