The HVAC Mexico Finance Director is an integral member of the HVAC Mexico Finance team and is a business partner to the HVAC Mexico Leadership Team. The position is responsible for strategy, financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, compliance and executive support on finance related matters. The role will provide support and strategic leadership across all areas of Finance to understand and communicate timely trends, quantify and help solve operational issues and mitigate financial risks. Candidates must have a proven background of strategic leadership, analytical excellence, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Naucalpan office.
What you will do:
- Partner with the HVAC Mexico leadership team to develop strategy and translate to actionable and measurable business plans.
- Organize, develop, review and approve forecasts, plans (LRP/AOP), capital investments, and business case proposals (CERs) and drives accountability through execution to ensure achievement of planned return on investment.
- Direct the decision-making process to drive growth, increased profitability, efficient us of Working Capital, improved cash flow, and Cash Return on Invested Capital (CROIC).
- Partner with Strategy and Business Development teams to support growth, acquisitions, and divestures, including, financial modeling and due diligence.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to ensure high employee engagement, solid execution of responsibilities, and continuous development.
- Educate and develop staff and colleagues to understand the business unit’s financial performance and the financial effect of business plans and strategies.
- Lead team in the preparation of monthly/quarterly business unit (BU) reports like MORs, QBRs and ERAM presentations that highlight the operational results, variance analysis, and recovery plans to achieve or exceed AOP. Coordinating and supervising the financial monthly closing process, the reporting of business and legal entities actuals to headquarters and the preparation of financial packages
- Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendations for resolution of problems including A3s and Countermeasures.
- Partner with functional organizations like Corporate FP&A, RTR, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, GISC, Internal Audit, etc to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust/effective internal controls by following GAAP, FICAP, and standards of internal control. Actively participate in the External Audit process with the RTR team and all the stakeholders involved.
- Design, improve, and maintain financial systems and models.
- Develop business case models measuring Return on Investment (ROI), business opportunities and product offerings
- Perform frequent and complex ad hoc analytical assignments and assist in other finance functions and responsibilities as needed.
