About The Role

Radian Generation is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team in the renewable energy industry. The BDR will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by conducting market research, performing outbound calling, and working closely with sales representatives to identify and develop new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the renewable energy industry and a passion for Helping customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment in a fast-paced environment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and market opportunities within the renewable energy sector. Help to analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights.
  • Outbound Calling: Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce our solutions. Develop and execute effective outreach strategies to generate new business leads.
  • Lead Qualification: Assess and qualify potential leads based on their needs, budget, and decision-making processes to determine if they are a good fit for our offerings.
  • Collaboration with Sales Reps: Work closely with sales representatives to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads. Provide all necessary information and context to support successful conversions.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospecting and lead generation activities in the CRM system (Salesforce). Regularly update and manage the project and lead pipeline to ensure data integrity.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on key metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline status. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.


Required Qualification & Education

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy sector.
  • Education: Post-Secondary Degree.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Research Skills: Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and interpret market data to inform business strategies.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, including key trends, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Passion for Clean Energy: Demonstrated passion for renewable energy and the clean energy transition.
  • Travel: Occasional, but not routine.
