Job Description:
The Member Services & Golf Shop Assistant is a highly skilled individual focused on delivering a high-level and detail-oriented experience to members and guests. This position reports directly to the Director of Golf and/or the Head Golf Professional, working closely with them.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized service to members and guests, including warm welcomes and cordial farewells.
- Manage and coordinate tee time, food & beverage, and activity reservations using the Club Essentials system.
- Support retail operations: organizing, cleaning, inventory control, reporting, and merchandise receiving.
- Monitor and manage play, including guest check-ins and fee collection.
- Maintain clear communication with Security, Caddies, F&B staff, and Golf Professionals to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as purchase orders, payment tracking, and vendor communication.
- Rotate and maintain merchandise displays, ensuring visual standards and product availability.
- Deliver a high-quality experience by anticipating needs and addressing issues proactively.
- Support the F&B and valet teams during high-demand periods.
- Participate in ongoing training on customer service and product knowledge.
- Uphold professional appearance, uniform standards, and conduct at all times.
- Work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma (minimum required)
- Administrative experience
- Experience with reservations (preferably in hospitality, golf, or a similar industry)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High-level customer service skills
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of POS systems (preferred: Club Essentials)
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
- Flexibility to perform various tasks, from customer service to operational/logistical support
