Job Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Analyst for US market who will become a pivotal member of our business by driving quality and efficiency in our daily operations. In this position you will be responsible for leading and oversee all activities necessary to process accurate and timely payrolls for a multi-state business, including Semi-monthly and weekly payrolls.
This position will be based in Polanco, Mexico City at our Tetra Pak office.
Tetra Pak does not offer work visa or relocation support for this role.
What you will do
As a Payroll Analyst you will:
- Execute payroll processes and payments accurately and in a timely manner. You will also ensure proper updates are made in relevant local payroll / time management systems.
- Guarantee the interface with external payroll provider.
- Manage time and attendance and payroll systems and the accurate accounting process related to payroll.
- Manage local external providers and approve related invoices.
- Ensure accurate payment for expatriates, following global instructions from Global Mobility.
- Guarantee correct tax application and social security, applying existing countries treaties.
- Responsible for guaranteeing payments, reports and other requests from external labor entities such as Tax Authorities, Social Security, Labor Ministry, Labor Courts, etc.
- Administer benefits and welfare/recognition programs including handling of employee benefit claims such as insurance and medicals.
- Generate related reports and statistics for stakeholders as well as supporting audits (internal and external)
- Manage, track and follow up on employee queries in the ticket handling system.
- Build a knowledge inventory of frequently asked questions to expedite resolution of queries accurately.
- Guides and points employees and managers to information on HR self-service portal (ORBIS) (Internal system) to foster a habit of finding the necessary data on the portal.
- Manages and ensures integrity of master data in relevant management system on timely and accurate basis.
- Participates in ad hoc projects.
We believe you have
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business administration, Human Resources or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Payroll
- Experience with US payroll will be a plus
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, income tax law, social security law and labor law regulations
- Proven experience with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s)
- Experience working with a specific Payroll, Time & Attendance system
- Experience in Benefits and HR field
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Advanced English level (written and spoken)
