Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Define annual targets and forecast market price trends to guide purchasing activities and support plant planning.
- Develop procurement strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of products and services.
- Lead contract and pricing negotiations for medium to large volume purchases to maximize profitability.
- Oversee contract compliance and prepare for renegotiations as needed to ensure supply security.
- Identify and implement alternative suppliers to reduce inventory levels and minimize costs.
- Monitor domestic and international markets to source new suppliers , products, and innovations.
- Manage supplier relationships to build a robust and risk-mitigated supply chain.
- Engage with cross-functional partners, including teams in Asia and the US , to stay ahead of market changes and demand shifts.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement in processes and practices. Report results on a monthly and quarterly basis to track progress against targets.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Relations, International Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or a related function.
- Knowledge of procurement principles and industry concepts.
- Awareness of market dynamics and trends (seller vs. buyer markets).
- Familiarity with the semiconductor, electronics, automotive industry and its customers is a plus.
- Some experience in interdisciplinary projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong sense of urgency and initiative to drive results.
- Proficiency in MS Offic e (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
